SWFL Pelvic Health Clinic Mentorship Program
Our program is intended for physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students who desire mentoring and guidance from our highly experienced physical therapy practice. Virtual and in-person mentorship options are available for licensed providers. In-person mentorship options are available for graduate and high-school students.
In-Person Mentorship
In-Person mentorship is available for current pelvic health physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students who would like to enhance their practice and learn more about the methods of assessment and treatment performed at our clinic. Each visit will consist of a 4-8 hour day shadowing pelvic health therapists who treat basic and complex pelvic health diagnoses. In the event of an open appointment, the learner will be given one-on-one mentorship with one of our physical therapists. Due to liability restrictions, learners will not be able to practice hands-on techniques on our patients.

For students or providers who have not yet completed an on-site Level 1 course that certifies performance of internal vaginal and/or rectal examinations by the APTA, Herman and Wallace, or Pelvic Health Solutions: Due to liability restrictions, no direct viewing of the pelvic floor, vulva, or perineum can be performed during in-person mentorship sessions.

In-Person Mentorship Rates:​
Rates for physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, and occupational therapist assistants:
Half Day | 4 hours: $250
Full Day | 8 hours: $400

Rates for students of physical therapy, occupational therapy, undergraduate university-level, and high-school:​​​

Virtual Mentorship
Virtual mentorship is available for current pelvic health physical therapists and physical therapist assistants who would like to consult our team. The content of each call will be tailored to the learner’s needs and caseload. Topics may include, but are not limited to:

Reviewing treatment strategies for pelvic health related diagnoses and symptoms

Developing education materials for patients

Consulting the learner’s current caseload

Discussing any additional topics the learner would like to strengthen to develop their practice as a provider

Virtual Mentorship Rates:
30-Minute Phone or Zoom Call: $100
60-Minute Phone or Zoom Call: $150
